Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox was admitted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she studied the flute piano and harpsichord for three years. Lennox was able to live with the stipend she received from her students and work part-time jobs. Lennox felt that her skills were inferior to those of those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she thought about alternative paths she could take. Lennox began her career in the year 1976 when she joined the band Dragons Playground. She left the band shortly before their appearance on I.T.V's Talent program New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist for The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. As part of this group, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they created The Eurythmics pop duo. Lennox was later able to record her solo debut album Diva. It came out in 1992. The album had a tremendous success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo that was released in October 2014 was Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox compiled her top soul jazz blues tracks from childhood. Lepidoptera is a collection of four tracks that she improvised for piano, which Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. This is the companion album to her album Now I Let it go... artwork that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut independent album. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, went on to become famous internationally in the 1980s as the Eurythmics. The album that Lennox released in 1992 Diva was a huge success, featuring a variety of tracks, such as Why the World is Broken Glass. Medusa the album she released in 1995 includes cover versions of tracks like No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. The six solo studio albums and the compilation album contain a variety of hits.
